Putting Georgia’s Medical Cannabis Patients First
A Coalition for Access, Safety, & Healing.
Georgia stands at a pivotal moment. As the demand builds for medical cannabis reform, our coalition is uniting industry leaders, healthcare professionals, patient advocates, entrepreneurs, and researchers to ensure that Georgia’s medical cannabis program is safe, accessible, and up to date.
We’re not just championing legislation—we’re building an ecosystem.
Why We Need a Strong, Active, & United Voice
Georgia’s medical cannabis program has the potential to deliver enormous benefits—but only if the legal, regulatory, and business environment keeps pace. Our coalition advocates for:
Putting Patients First
Georgians cannot access the product types and dosage amounts they need and their doctors recommend. Our state has fallen behind our southern peers and left the patients with a decade-old program that needs to be updated!Education and Regulations
The Georgia Access to Medical Cannabis Commission has been established to oversee this program. They need to be trusted to do their job rather than attempting to legislate every detail of the program. We aim to educate legislators and the public about the difference between the medical cannabis program and the hemp products being openly sold to anyone 21+.Expanded and Equitable Access
Patients deserve safe, affordable, local options regardless of geography or income level. Without the legal ability to deliver the product and without insight from DPH into the location and demographics of the patients, this medicine can be inaccessible.Legal Clarity for Providers and Operators
Doctors, dispensaries, and caregivers need protection and confidence in the law.Support for Research and Innovation
Universities, labs, and licensees must be empowered to study cannabinoid therapies and share their findings.

Policy Progress Is Just the Beginning
Passing legislation such as SB200 and HB277, as well as the Putting Patients First Act, is a critical step, but it is not the final goal. Expanding access to create a fully developed medical program will provide Georgians with relief and a natural alternative to opioids. We need implementation that’s:
Patient-centered
Scientifically grounded
Physician Friendly
Future-facing
Real Voices. Shared Purpose.
“We need a system that works for patients and providers alike.”
— Dr. Ana Reyes, Oncologist, Atlanta
“Medical cannabis is already helping Georgians. The law needs to catch up with reality.”
— Derrick, U.S. Veteran, Savannah
“This industry can be a model for economic development and public health—if we build it right.”
— Terrell James, Dispensary Owner, Macon.
